The Future
Long term sustainability and being environmentally responsible are very important to us. Over 90% of the materials used to create our Aquaponics system have been upcycled from parts that were no longer suitable for their original intended purposes. We are constantly sourcing additional parts and equipment that can be given new life by eventually expanding our growing space and improving upon the efficiency of our systems.
We believe reducing waste is key to a successful and responsible Aquaponics system and we are always finding ways to improve including capturing the waste heat from our high efficiency LED lights to warm the water in our growing beds and using expended cooking oil from restaurants to help produce heat and electricity. We encourage likeminded individuals to join us in continuing to improve the field of Aquaponics and help usher in a future of sustainable locally grown organic food one seedling at a time.
